Current location: The Hunter Valley
11.11am, At Lindemans winery. It's quite weird to go wine-tasting first thing in the morning, but we gave it a good crack! The Lindemans winery was also really lovely, and really huge, then we visited a few more that varied between awesome an kind of soulless. My favourite was Audrey Wilkinson's, a beautiful old winery that has gone through stages of excess and awesomeness, then disrepair and wilderness as the original owners died and it took a while for new owners to take over. But now it is beautiful and well worth a visit!
In the late afternoon, we stopped for an incredible hot chocolate and then headed back to the coast (via Cessnock, where everything was closed) and then had a chilled evening and an early night!
